Around 1 p.m., Lee placed a $1 progressive side bet while playing Light & Wonder’s ULTIMATE TEXAS HOLD 'EM®. He was dealt the Queen and Jack of hearts, which combined with the Ace, King and 10 hearts on the board to complete a Royal Flush, triggering the progressive jackpot of $215,127.
Lee said he’d been chasing the jackpot for years, and on this particular day he had a feeling his luck was turning – a hunch that paid off big. He and his wife love visiting Diamond Jo because “it just feels like family — everyone knows your name.”
He hasn’t decided exactly how he’ll use the winnings, but he added, “I’m sure we’ll find something fun to do with it.”
