LAS VEGAS— A guest to The Orleans Hotel and Casino won more than $486,000 playing Boyd Gaming’s regional linked Pai-Gow Progressive on Wednesday, May 14.
The lucky guest, who wishes to remain anonymous, was playing $30 per hand plus two side bets – a $1 progressive side bet and a $5 Fortune Bonus side bet. On just his second hand, the player was dealt a natural seven-card straight flush – three through nine of clubs, without a Joker – scoring the $461,351 progressive jackpot, plus a $25,000 Fortune Bonus.
The player’s luck also resulted in a windfall for two others at the table, who each received a $3,000 Fortune Bonus thanks to the straight flush.
Boyd Gaming offers the regional linked Pai Gow Poker at other destinations locally, including Aliante, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Sam’s Town and Cannery. With Wednesday’s big win, the progressive jackpot reset to $75,683.
