LAS VEGAS— Boyd Gaming wrapped up its 11th annual holiday decorating competition, “Trees of Hope,” with nearly $70,000 in total funds being awarded to 38 non-profits across the Las Vegas Valley.
This year, the beloved holiday competition had 38 trees displayed at Boyd Gaming destinations including: Aliante, The Orleans, Gold Coast, Jokers Wild, Suncoast, Sam’s Town, Cannery and California.
From November 24 through December 12, Boyd Gaming guests voted for their favorite tree at each venue or online through Boyd Gaming’s social media platforms. A prize pool of up to $8,500 was distributed at each of the eight properties after votes were tallied with a guaranteed a minimum award of $1,000.
More than 23,500 in-person votes were tabulated, along with thousands of online votes cast through the Trees of Hope social media contest. An additional prize pool of $5,000 was awarded to the top three performing charities in the social media competition.
