LAS VEGAS— Boyd Gaming properties in Las Vegas are gearing up to celebrate the Lunar New Year and ring in the Year of the Snake with traditional lion and dragon dances, delicious dining specials and gaming promotions.
Traditional Lion and Dragon Dances and Gold Goddesses Performances
The annual Lunar New Year celebration returns with exciting performances at Suncoast, The Orleans and Gold Coast. Suncoast will feature a traditional lion dance along with performances by the Golden Goddesses, while The Orleans and Gold Coast will each present both lion and dragon dances. These lively processions will travel through the casinos, culminating in a traditional “cai qing” ceremony where lettuce leaves are tossed to spectators for good luck. Guests will have an opportunity to “feed” the lions red envelopes with their offerings for good luck and prosperity in the year ahead.
The authentic dances will be performed at the dates and times below:
- Suncoast Hotel and Casino— Friday, January 31 at 5 p.m. The parade begins at the Valet entrance.
- The Orleans Hotel and Casino— Thursday, February 6 at 6 p.m. The parade begins at Bailiwick.
- Gold Coast Hotel and Casino— Thursday, February 6 at 8 p.m. The parade will commence at the Bingo escalator on the main floor of the casino.
Dining Specials
Ping Pang Pong at Gold Coast
Daily | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Ping Pang Pong will offer specialty dim sum dishes, including braised chicken feet, sui-mai and more.
Noodle Exchange at Gold Coast
Daily | 12 – 9:30 p.m.
- Noodle Exchange will serve a signature hot pot special that includes enoki mushroom, tofu, fish cake, sweet corn, tomato, taro, glassy noodle, fish ball and fresh farm green. Guests can further customize their dish by selecting from a variety of soup bases and choosing a vegetarian, meat or seafood combination.
Ondori Asian Kitchen at The Orleans
Tuesday, January 28 | 5 p.m. – midnight
