LAS VEGAS— Starting today, Boyd Gaming welcomes Southern Nevada nonprofit organizations to submit an entry to participate in one of Las Vegas’ most cherished holiday traditions, Wreaths of Hope. Over the last decade, the Company has donated more than $400,000 to nonprofits across the Las Vegas Valley, establishing it as one of Boyd Gaming’s most well-known philanthropic programs.
A total of 38 local charities will be chosen to participate in a wreath-decorating competition at Aliante, Cannery, Gold Coast, Jokers Wild, Sam's Town, Suncoast, The Orleans, and California. From Monday, November 25 to Wednesday, December 11, Boyd Gaming customers are invited to vote for their favorite wreath at each venue as charities compete for the top prize.
This winter, Boyd Gaming will spread holiday cheer by awarding nearly $70,000 to participating nonprofit organizations. Each of the eight properties will recognize the three highest-performing charities with a grand prize, guaranteeing that every participating organization receives a minimum of $1,000. A supplementary contest held on social media will offer additional opportunities for charities to secure extra cash prizes.
Applicants must represent a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the Southern Nevada community. Proof of tax-exempt status, such as a copy of a Form W-9 or IRS determination letter confirming the nonprofit’s 501(c)(3) status, as well as a description of the charity must be provided when submitting an entry.
Charities can submit an entry via email to WreathsOfHopeLV@boydgaming.com by Friday, October 4. Selected nonprofits will receive an invitation to join Wreaths of Hope in mid-October.
