Eddie Garcia Brings Over 13 Years of Culinary Expertise to Boyd Gaming
KENNER, La.– Boyd Gaming Corporation and Treasure Chest Casino announce new culinary leadership for the forthcoming land-based casino with the addition of Eddie A. Garcia as Executive Chef.
To satisfy the appetites of all future Treasure Chest guests, Garcia will draw on his years of experience to develop dining menus for several new restaurants at the land-based casino. Garcia will oversee that every dish leaving a Treasure Chest kitchen will be valued and enjoyed by diners.

Garcia boasts an impressive career in culinary arts at casino resorts across the country. He spent nearly five years working as an executive chef and more than eight years as an executive sous chef for major casinos in Las Vegas. He got his start in the culinary industry as head chef for an adventure company and then for an assisted living facility, both in California. Garcia is a 2010 graduate of the California School of Culinary Arts in Hollywood, Ca.
The Treasure Chest Casino offers guests premier gaming experiences on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain and plans to open doors to its new site in spring 2024. Ample parking adjacent to the land-based site will make accessing the 47,000 square feet of expanded gaming floor convenient as guests enjoy new features across all amenities, including four new food outlets and a FanDuel-branded sportsbook.
