Latest Donations Bring Combined Support for Maui to $250,000 to Date
HONOLULU— During Boyd Gaming’s annual Mahalo party in Honolulu on Wednesday, Boyd Gaming and the Raiders Foundation announced that they are each donating $25,000 to the Maui Strong Fund in support of ongoing relief efforts in Maui.
The donations are the latest contributions by Boyd and the Raiders Foundation in support of those impacted by the Maui wildfires. Shortly after the tragic event in August, Boyd contributed $100,000 to the American Red Cross for Maui wildfire relief, while the Raiders Foundation donated $100,000 to the Hawaii Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund.
“Our Hawai’i Ohana have been Boyd’s closest friends and most loyal supporters for nearly 50 years now,” said John Sou, Director of Operations for Boyd’s Downtown Las Vegas region. “Following the terrible tragedy in August, we knew it was our duty to step up to help a community that has meant so much to us for so long. We are honored to join forces with the Raiders Foundation to provide additional support to ongoing relief efforts in Maui.”

In addition to their shared commitment to Hawai’i, Boyd and the Las Vegas Raiders announced a groundbreaking partnership in January, designating Boyd’s 10 Las Vegas Valley casinos as the Official and Exclusive Local Casinos Partner of the Raiders.
