All-New KC Chop House to Debut at Ameristar Kansas City in November

Serving Prime Cuts, Prime Drinks and Prime Times to Kansas City Area

KANSAS CITY— Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City will welcome the highly anticipated KC Chop House to its dining line-up in mid-November. Conveniently located just east of downtown Kansas City, the new steakhouse will bring together familiar midwestern hospitality with an elevated selection of steaks, seafood, wine, and cocktails.

Chef Crystal Morris, who brings more than 17 years of experience in fine dining, will take the lead at the all-new KC Chop House as Chef de Cuisine. Chef Crystal held the position of Executive Chef at The Capital Grille Minneapolis, Eddie V’s and Ocean Prime, as well as other fine dining restaurants in the Kansas City area.

“We are excited to add KC Chop House to our selection of dining options at Ameristar Kansas City and we are thrilled to welcome Chef Crystal to our team,” said Keith W. Henson, Senior Vice President and General Manager. “With its embrace of midwestern roots, yet modern appeal, we are confident our guests will enjoy all that KC Chop House has to offer, including our featured Prime, Dry-aged and Angus beef sourced from local and regional farms, as well as a wide variety of hand-selected wines.”

“I am delighted to join the Ameristar team and I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to lead the culinary program at KC Chop House,” said Morris. “Food is my passion and I’m excited to able to share my creations!”

In addition to Kansas City’s finest hand-selected steaks, diners can also enjoy an array of seafood, salads and side dishes. Signature dishes include the 40-ounce Long Bone Ribeye, served on a butcher block with homemade KC Chop House steak sauce and truffle fries, chimichurri and bearnaise on the side; the KC Chop House Burger, consisting of local wagyu beef, black truffle cheese, fried onions and bacon jam; and Prime Rib slow roasted and topped with house-made horseradish sauce and velvet au jus.

KC Chop House will feature a unique wines-by-the-glass tasting option, where guests can customize their pours in 3-, 6-, and 9-ounce options. Wines traditionally only sold by the bottle, such as Caymus Special Select, Silver Oak, Frank Family and various others, are included in the program, allowing guests to custom pair wine with each course.

The cocktail menu will offer the classics as well as some new, unique selections such as The Dirty Pig, a bacon-infused vodka with pimento stuffed olives and a bacon dusted rim; and Salt Foam Margarita, perfect for those who want to enjoy a delicious margarita without heavy salt crystals; and the KC Chop House Manhattan, a tableside cherry wood smoked Manhattan.

The new restaurant comfortably seats over 200 guests in the main dining room and on the patio, and features a private dining room, The Prohibition Room, that contracts and expands to accommodate a variety of dinner party sizes up to 50 guests. KC Chop House can accommodate private parties and assists with planning special celebrations.

KC Chop House will be open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 5 p.m.to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
