IP Casino Resort Spa Honors Outstanding Team Members in June

BILOXI— IP Casino Resort Spa is proud to recognize its latest winners of Team Member of the Month for June, Part-Time Team Member of the Quarter and Team Leaders of the Quarter. Team members were nominated by their colleagues for their outstanding service and teamwork, and for going above and beyond their daily tasks.

Front of the House Team Members of the Month for June:

Latrice Smith, Master Bank and Cage Cashier, was nominated by Cage management for her willingness to always help. “Her dedication and loyalty to Boyd is awesome,” her team shared. “She has great customer service skills and a positive attitude toward guests and co-workers. Latrice is just an all-around great person and a joy to work with.”

Jeremy Bridges, Food Server at Bayview Café, was nominated by Restaurant Manager, Claudia Jones. “Jeremy is a great asset to the Bayview team,” said Jones. “He only wants the best for his guests and with his service it shows. Jeremy is a true team player as he assists with other duties like bussing and food running.”

Maurice “Moe” Stephens Jr., Parking Booth and Valet Attendant, was nominated by Valet Supervisor, Brandon Walters. “Moe goes beyond his duties every day to assist guests with unloading and loading their luggage, even though it is not his responsibility,” said Walters. “He is always smiling and speaking to guests and other team members. He has the attitude that we are all one team.”

Back of House Team Members of the Month for June:

Kellee Davis, Gaming Revenue Audit Clerk, was nominated by Front Office Assistant Manager, Theresa Decicco. “Kellee has been a dedicated team member at IP for many years. She is always willing to lend a hand or answer questions,” said Decicco. “She treats her teammates with respect and kindness and is truly a pleasure to work with. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to work with her over the years and look forward to many more.”

Sabrina Martin, Senior Human Resources Specialist, was nominated by Infusion Coffee Bar team member, Tyronica Rivers. “Sabrina is willing to do anything for you. She always has a positive attitude and good connection with team members,” said Rivers. “Sabrina does all she can to make sure you have a good day, and she is very deserving of this recognition.”

Shauna Appell, Housekeeping Secretary, was nominated by Executive Housekeeping Manager, Thomas Brune. He shared, “Shauna is an excellent worker that is very dependable and volunteers to help wherever needed in the department. She goes above and beyond for her guests and fellow team members.”

Part-Time Team Member of the 2nd Quarter:

Thaddeus Nitkiewicz, Security Officer, was nominated by Security Shift Manager, Bo Vonderbruegge. “Officer Nick has made himself known throughout the Security Department and beyond as an example of what other officers should strive to emulate,” said Vonderbruegge. “He is willing to help with any task, even if it is outside of his job description because he understands that the job must be completed.

Team Leaders of the 2nd Quarter:

Matthew Brooks, Bayview Café Sous Chef, was nominated by Executive Chef, Shannon Johnson. “Matt goes out of his way to make sure Bayview Café is running and going well,” said Johnson. “His dedication to Boyd Gaming is never in question and his work ethic goes above and beyond the normal person.

Eddie Ray, Security Training Manager, was nominated by Director of Security, Alfred Sexton. “Eddie has shown that he is a team player and is dedicated to the successful operation of not only IP, but also to two other properties,” said Sexton. “He has continued to volunteer to assist with their security needs and has made a commitment to the safety of our guests and Boyd Gaming as a whole.”

Brandi Ingram, Warehouse Manager, was nominated by Director of Food & Beverage Services, Stephen Morgan. “Brandi is an outstanding team player,” said Morgan. “She truly understands her and her team's role in all of us delivering excellent guest service. Brandi has a can-do attitude and goes out of her way to make things easier on her internal customers rather than harder.”

Along with being recognized, winners received a certificate of recognition; award plaque and name tag; $75 in cash; three $75 gift certificates for dining; embroidered Team Member of the Month jackets; special parking privileges; a recognition banquet; and are entered in a Team Member of the Year drawing for a chance to visit Hawaii or Las Vegas.
