VINTON– Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel is ushering in the holiday season as the annual tree decorating competition, “Trees of Hope,” kicks off at Boyd Gaming properties. Now in its 16th year, the casino-resort will award a prize pool of $10,000 to eight local charities participating in the cherished holiday tradition.
To kick off the nationwide competition, Delta Downs invites local non-profit organizations to decorate holiday trees that aesthetically represent their mission to earn a guaranteed minimum cash donation of $500.
Now through Thursday, December 14 at 9 p.m., the public is encouraged to view the trees, located in the Promenade, and vote for their favorite charity’s decorated tree by swiping an active Boyd Rewards card at any promotional kiosk or by visiting https://www.boydgaming.com/pages/wreaths-of-hope-2023. Guests must be 21 years or older to cast a vote and voting is limited to one vote per account, per day during the contest.

- Project Build a Future
- Queen of Pink
- St. Nicholas Center for Children
- Autism Services of Southwest Louisiana
- Dreams Come True of Louisiana
- Calcasieu Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution
Along with $500 given to all participants, the top three performing charities will receive an additional cash donation of $3,000 for first-place, $2,000 for second-place, and $1,000 for third-place.
